Trip to Elba  
The boat we chartered during the transfer from Elba to Castiglioncello left us without a rudder. We managed with the emergency tiller to reach the nearest port in weather conditions at the limit of steerability. The rental company's staff support was uncooperative, considering the risk we ran of ending up on the rocks given the adverse weather conditions. Only the crew's long experience made it possible to return without incident. We expected greater awareness of the risk we had taken due to poor maintenance of the boat and at least a thank-you for saving the vessel or concern for the crew's wellbeing.

Very positive review. The boat was perfect; although not brand new everything was working and in evident excellent maintenance. The charter staff were helpful and professional. Only flaw: the outboard engine started acting up and after a few days we could not consider it reliable and usable. The engine was included in the price and not considered extra.

Great holiday, boat so-so  
The service in general was good; the shore-based staff were very kind and efficient. Unfortunately the boat was not well maintained and we had an unpleasant diesel leak on board; furthermore several instruments (wind station, fuel level indicator) were not working. I must say, however, that the agency did not charge me for the final diesel top-up.
