Boat without refrigerator  
Although I had explicitly requested a check of the refrigerator functioning (see attached email), which should have contained medicines, the fridge never worked. I spent hours with a technician in Lipari without solving the problem and the result was a ruined holiday chasing anyone who could give us ice at every landing. I add the bow thruster not working, but advertised on the boat, and the cockpit light not working replaced with a bulb that was completely insufficient.

A fantastic week on board  
I was able to sail around the Aeolian Islands for 1 week with my family (my wife, my son and I) on a beautiful Dufour 46 GL, a very comfortable and spacious boat, led by a skipper with proven experience. Our skipper, Fabio Lo Sicco, helped make this week special. A fantastic person as well as an excellent and attentive skipper, with deep knowledge of the wonderful Aeolian Islands. The boat is very comfortable and very new. Starting from the beginning of the holiday, I'll say that the transfer from Catania airport was very comfortable and professional, but really really expensive. The price is very high. I understand the logistical difficulties of Sicily (slow trains and undeveloped public transport, and motorway always work in progress), but such a professional charter company would deserve a transfer at a more attractive price for its clients. One thing is splitting costs among friends. Another is when, like me, you organize a holiday with your own family without splitting costs. Check-in and check-out were really excellent and professional, as was all the charter company staff — really always available. Boat cleanliness, which in my opinion could be improved. Don't get me wrong, the boat was clean, but we found some imperfections (some hair and nails) and the bathrooms could smell a bit more pleasant. Provisioning is also feasible directly at Porto Rosa and they deliver to the boat too, but the grocery shop in the port is really expensive (I don't recommend it). Fortunately they opened a supermarket just outside the port, with a shuttle service and normal prices. They also deliver to the boat. Excellent service (I didn't try it for lack of time, but great feedback). In general I would recommend this charter company. Really well organized. At the end of the holiday I also had the pleasure of meeting the boat owner, who does a great job and employs many people. Really a lot of respect for such an entrepreneur in a very difficult and competitive sector. Thanks again and see you soon.

Egadi on catamaran  
It is the first time I have been on a catamaran: comfort is absolute at the expense of sailing because it is slower. The Egadi on catamaran are beautiful: we were always able to stay at anchor even in shallow depths, with no problems with power, water or batteries. The only flaw was check-in, because we got the boat with a long delay at 7.30 p.m.
