Unable to leave deposit by credit card and Early Booking paid but n...  
We arrived at the marina at 11, we were greeted by a delegate of the base manager. He told us the boat was already ready. We did the paperwork, but when it came to leaving the 3000 euro deposit, not having a POS he asked us to give him the number, expiry and even the CVV of the card. He photographed the card front and back and sent it to the central office, I think in Athens. This caused the card to be blocked. So he asked for a new card, we gave him 4 more and they all got blocked. At this point he demanded 3000 euros cash otherwise we couldn't leave. Others of us who still had a working card took turns going to the ATM and withdrawing 500 or 900 euros each, with 5 euro fees per person, until we got the 3000 euros cash, which he then put in an envelope sealed with tape and told us he'd return it at the end of the charter. All of this took 3 hours. We also noticed there was water in the bilge, which he had to pump out (at least 40 litres, he said it was residue from washing water), then 5 sets of sheets and 2 sets of towels were missing, another hour and a half's wait because at 2 pm he had disappeared to other boats. We left the harbour after 3.30 pm. Our banks blocked the credit cards for security, as the procedure was considered unsafe, and being Saturday we couldn't contact them until Monday; some remained blocked for the whole week. The sailing had no problems, thank goodness, but one of the 2 water tanks didn't show the level and after 1 day was totally empty and we had to switch to the second. There was air conditioning but it only worked on 220V power and after a while it would shut off The outdoor lunch table suddenly closed with all the plates on the ground, we saw the locking mechanism was precarious and tried to fix it (fault then reported on return)

A trouble-free holiday  
Our boat performed well and we were happy. Only flaw: the linen supplied wasn't clean — we pointed it out and they changed it, after a rather long wait.
