Excess 14 Catamaran Toulon to St-Tropez  
What a lovely sail we had. Leaving Toulon with winds around 10-15 knots on Excess 14 was a joy ride even if we were used to monohauls and our own Bali 46 catamaran in Croatia. Poquerolles and Cros islands have beautiful harbors and we attached easily to buoys for a restful diner, swim and sleep. St-Tropez was great to see. Its beaches are famous and for a good reason. Dream Yatching charter and Marenauta were easy to deal with and boarding as well as disembarking was made easy with carts available without any problems. The boat itself was in great condition. We had absolutely no issues. Excess 14 was easy to handle and performed very well even in low winds. I love sailing in Croatia but I am considering chartering more often on the Côte d’Azur in the future. Michel Poirier

This prototype boat should not be chartered  
The electrical system, particularly the generator, has been causing problems since it left the factory, it did so during our charter week and will very likely continue to do so. Anyone going to charter this boat should know that. It is quite worn for the little use it has, but that is not an inconvenience. Everything works correctly and it is a great boat. The technical team fortunately gave us very good service and assistance during the week. Travelling to the boat on several occasions to different points in Mallorca. I recommend a unit with air conditioning; we had extreme heat and people went out to sleep on deck, which is not very in keeping with the category of the boat.
