Great sailing trip :-(  
When you're greeted with laughter and friendliness, that's already half the battle. Very positive! The boat very clean! New, we got a handover checklist and could calmly check everything listed on it. Actually a good idea. Weather—the charter company can't help that! When it rains like buckets and there's lightning and thunder all around, even the best computer stops working. Sailing—we unfortunately always had the wind on the nose! Return uncomplicated like the takeover. Also new, diver inspected the underwater hull. Sailing in Croatia is always beautiful when the weather cooperates. If you have Wi-Fi on board, there should also be an inverter on board. The crew and the skipper were overall very satisfied.

Sailing with she she  
After app check-in I was actually happy that the boat was set up for single-handed sailing. Because of initial difficulties handling the mainsail we did not worry — just unfamiliar. Unfortunately, however, it was due to the poor condition of the running rigging that I always had to climb around the mast when setting and dousing it, which is not fun in waves and plenty of wind. Navigation was also somewhat difficult because the touchscreen kept freezing — switch off, switch on works, does not work; luckily there is the chart, phone and tablet. We made the best of it. Sailing in Croatia  
The boat was in good condition and we had a lovely time. Perhaps it could have had more cutlery. The week was exceptionally hot and we were happy to have the air condition. The check-in wasn't efficient as we came at 2pm and only managed to leave at 6pm after applying pressure on the Charter. When returning the boat there was a huge cue at the gas station. The old outboard engine broke on first use and the Charter did not want to make any commercial effort. Very disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your time on board.

We would, however, like to clarify a few points regarding your review.

The standard check-in time is 5:00 PM. An early check-in at 2:00 PM normally costs €200, but this fee was not charged to you. Nevertheless, you were accommodated as an early check-in guest and were able to board the boat after 2:00 PM. Since you were able to depart as early as 6:00 PM, we believe that the time provided for the check-in and handover was more than reasonable.

Regarding the queue at the fuel station upon returning the boat, unfortunately, this is something beyond our control. During the peak season, fuel stations can naturally become very busy. Better planning and organization of the return time can certainly help to avoid the busiest periods, but the actual queue at the station is not something we can influence.

As for the outboard engine, when a guest takes the engine, the fuel tank is provided full, together with an additional 5 litres of petrol. At check-out, both the tank and the additional fuel were empty, which confirms that the engine had been used. Furthermore, the outboard engine was returned with a damaged propeller, for which you were not charged.

After the guest reported an issue with the outboard engine, after check out, our mechanic went to inspect it. After checking the engine, the mechanic started it normally and it was running without any apparent issue. This is also why we were surprised by the statement that the engine had broken on its first use.

Considering all of the above, we therefore find it difficult to understand the low ratings given for hospitality and the check-in/check-out procedure, as in your particular case we went beyond our standard arrangements to accommodate you and provide you with an early check-in at no additional cost.

Nevertheless, we appreciate your feedback and are pleased that you enjoyed the boat and your holiday overall.

Maintenance to be improved  
The balance of the cruise is generally positive. The staff was kind, the price was altogether not high, but during the one-week trip we noticed: 1) alternator failure with the consequent inability to use the on-board instrumentation (echo sounder and plotter) and anchor windlass (which is dangerous in case of sudden bad weather at anchor). This inconvenience caused the loss of a day of vacation. 2) water infiltration from some portholes. 3) broken fridge replaced by a portable fridge which, however, is always in the way. 4) damaged blinds. 5) speakers in the cockpit that are falling apart. 6) damaged cockpit table, does not stay open. However, the boat is structurally solid and pleasant to steer, especially under sail. Engine fuel consumption was low. The alternator repair service was punctual and efficient.
