Sailing around Menorca
We spent a week sailing around Menorca. The boat was old but very well maintained. Tramontana rolled in and we didn't get to enjoy everything we would have liked. The catamaran sails very well and is very comfortable.
We had a wonderfull time during the whole week although we caught sometimes some rain, thunderstorms and big waves.
the weather was very nice and hot all the time, and the rain, waves and thunders didn´t bother us because it was only a few and made part of the experience.
our skipper (Yunai) was extraordinary and we will be very glad if we can have him the next time.
the boat was in good conditions although it's missing somethings like bluetooh for music (a must have) or electric pumps for toiletts instead of manual.

Check-in procedures went quickly; the only problem is the deposit, which is not just a hold on the amount but is charged to the credit card and if the week straddles the month, the debit goes through on the account and the credit only comes the following month. The pontoon where the boat is moored has no toilets or showers; loading and unloading provisions must be done on board from a busy road. The boat had a helm instrument that was not working/not readable, but it was not a problem; the plotter gave all the necessary info. The mainsail furls into the mast, very convenient and functional; standard furling jib. Going astern an good burst of speed is essential, otherwise it is unmanageable. On board there is the essentials, no masks and fins, no fishing accessories, no spice set in the galley, nothing... beyond a couple of toilet paper rolls. Still in good condition, but chain without marks on the tens of metres. The starboard aft berth is really small and low (a cockpit locker reduces the headroom); ideally no more than four people. Overall a decent boat, without obvious shortcomings.
The boat was great, so was the team at the base. Carlos is very helpful and react rapidly.
The boat is wide and leaves enough space for 6 adults.
Minorque is a sailer paradize
Wonderful holiday, exceptional weather, excellent boat, clean; the only inconvenience was that after leaving port and stopping for a nice swim, the battery had died on restart — however, from the call to the manager, within 2 hours they replaced all the batteries and the problem was solved. Otherwise I'd give it a 9.

It is a beautiful coast and the boat was great. We had some good sailing. The anchorages we stayed in were excellent and we feel safe. The two other small towns that we stayed at in the Marina were lovely.
Menorca Nautic was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. I can therefore recommend them with a clear conscience. With the boat, however, we had some difficulties at times.
The chartered boat could not tack to starboard through the wind already from 25 knots of wind and waves of about 1.5 m. That only worked with engine assistance. That was almost a bit dangerous. We are used to sailing even in strong wind. We had to request life jackets and lifebelts separately. That should be standard equipment.
