Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent vacation on our Beneteau Oceanis 46.1, "Kismee." We genuinely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we would like to provide some clarification regarding the technical points you raised.
Regarding the engine battery, our priority was to ensure your charter remained uninterrupted. As soon as you reported the issue, we dispatched a technician to your location to resolve the situation immediately, allowing you to continue your journey.
Concerning the anchor remote control, this was an intermittent contact issue. As this was not reported by the crew during the previous charter, we were unaware of the defect and did not have the opportunity to address it beforehand. We suspect that the cable may have been damaged by the anchor locker hatch cover being dropped on it. Our team identified and fully repaired this issue immediately after the conclusion of your charter.
Regarding the autopilot, you reported that the remote stopped working on the final day. For reliability, our yacht is equipped with two remote controls; our team demonstrated to you how to use the secondary unit to ensure you could continue your navigation without disruption.
Finally, regarding the service batteries, we observed that they were being systematically undercharged during your trip. The vessel is equipped with high-consumption systems—including two powerful refrigerators, an inverter, and three electric toilets—which require appropriate management to maintain power, especially during the hot summer season.
Throughout your charter, our communication was focused on being fast and solution-oriented. We made every effort to ensure that you received the necessary support to enjoy your holiday. We regret that your experience was not as you expected, and we wish you fair winds in your future sailing.
Best regards,
The Sailme Charter Team
