Thank you for your review, but we feel we must respond and express our surprise and dissatisfaction with the above.
Regarding the autopilot – it is true that shortly after departure you reported that it was not working, even though it had worked without any problems at check-in. You were not far from our base, but you did not want to return. For us it is impossible to leave the base on a Saturday and carry out repairs on boats that are already out, simply because the workload at the base is too great. We located and arranged assistance from the authorised service to repair the autopilot, which was only a few miles away from you, but once again you did not want to change your itinerary.
It is also true that the chain came off the rudder mechanism. These things happen, even on new boats and models. We must admit that your experience helped prevent more serious damage, and for that we can sincerely thank you. But accusing us of what happened, or saying that we did not react and offer assistance, is nothing other than harmful.
Immediately after your call we began organising assistance. At that time you were on the island of Lastovo, the most remote inhabited island from the mainland, more than 150 miles from our base. If you think that place can be reached at any time within a few minutes or hours, then you are mistaken.
We arranged a boat at the location closest to your position, and our technicians were already on their way to that boat when you reported that the problem had been resolved.
The fact is that at no point were you left without our support, and on every one of your calls we answered and reacted.
We would also like to point out that you gave us excellent ratings on our post-charter questionnaire, and we do not understand what has changed in the meantime.
We have more than 20 years of experience in this sector, and our priority has always been care for our guests and boats. Otherwise, we would not have survived in this business for so long, with many clients returning to us and not wanting to charter a boat elsewhere.
