Good, but not great  
Experience overall fair, but with some aspects that could be improved. • Marina di Cala de' Medici: rather inconvenient and expensive facility. Parking is very expensive, located outside, and completely exposed to the sun. On return we were assigned a berth on the opposite side of the marina, about 20 minutes on foot to reach the car. Convenient only for the time needed to load luggage, then you have to take the car back to the parking and retrace the route. • Spartivento: much appreciated the boat handover two hours early and check-out, quick and efficient. Less positive the onboard equipment given the high costs too (some equipment was missing, insufficient or malfunctioning) and especially fuel refuelling management: we were only notified on the day of return of the obligation to refuel in the marina, with over an hour queue to add just 5 euros of diesel, since we had already refuelled at another nearby port precisely to avoid the queue. Finally, I found it unfair that the 3,000 euro deposit was released four days after return, despite check-out being completed without problems and despite my request to carry out the operation immediately, as is generally done. It should be considered that in fact the 3,000 euros remain 'blocked' and if you need to use your credit card, this must be taken into account for spending limits. Overall a good experience, but given the charter company offer I will probably consider other operators for the next rental.

A week in the Aeolian Islands on the Lagoon 42  
Seven days in the Aeolian Islands on the Lagoon 42, and it went very well even with the weather, good wind almost every day, no days lost. The boat is appreciated for its space and stability at anchor, but it is not designed to sleep ten. The saloon sofas are comfortable to sit on but uncomfortable as beds. I recommend it without doubt, just avoid loading too many people on board.

It was a beautiful holiday, I don't deny it, but unfortunately there was a fault with the generator and one with the watermaker right from the first night. the impossibility of producing fresh water forced us to severely limit consumption on board and to modify the cruise program to return repeatedly to Lipari in order to refuel with water, although this stop was not planned twice in the original itinerary. To the discomfort resulting from the lack of air conditioning was added the much more significant one, linked to the loss of time actually available for sailing and for the holiday itself. Due to the problem with the generator we in fact remained stopped for the first time in Lipari for about half a day, from the morning until past lunchtime, and subsequently we were forced to return to port again where we lost another day. I would like to underline that the crew demonstrated great professionalism, availability and collaborative spirit and that we do not in any way attribute the responsibility for the situation to them. On the contrary, we believe they did everything in their power to limit the impact of the problem. However, the fact remains that the service actually enjoyed is significantly different from what was proposed and purchased.
