Many things to improve  
I am taking this opportunity to lodge a complaint. For the first time after years of rentals I found a boat dirty inside but above all with the underwater hull completely covered in algae and fouling. (Boat from 2023). The boat was not at all performant and, during motoring, fuel consumption compared with that of a boat of the same length that travelled with us was much higher. Furthermore, after a night at anchor I requested assistance because the engine battery was flat (my fault) and the mechanic who came, due to a disagreement with the charter company, behaved disgracefully, threatening to alert the Coast Guard to have the boat detained as unsafe, and asking us to pay for his intervention. (Owner: Spartivento, mechanic: LV Rent at Marina di Campo). I understand that certain things can happen, but the hull was really in very poor condition). Despite everything I recommend the owner with whom in the past I have already had satisfactory dealings.

Good morning,
thank you for your review; however, we would like to clarify a few key points:
Boat cleanliness
At check-in, the client did not report any issues regarding the cleanliness of the boat. Had there been any, we would have addressed them promptly. The vessel was accepted and taken over as it was, as recorded in the check-in report (attached).
Hull condition (underwater area)
The performance of modern antifouling coatings is limited by increasingly stringent environmental regulations designed to protect the sea. We are sorry the hull became fouled, but this is a possible occurrence.
Assistance at Marina di Campo
While at anchor in Marina di Campo, the vessel experienced a starting problem due to the complete discharge of the engine battery, caused by the control panel being left on all night. From the noise coming from the engine compartment, a possible relay fault in the control unit was also suspected. To ensure rapid assistance, we contacted a local technician with a dinghy to reach the vessel directly at anchor and resolve the issue. The intervention allowed the engine to be restarted without further damage.

Assistance not charged
We would like to point out that no charge was applied for the telephone assistance provided by our team (from 10:30 to 13:30), nor for the technician urgently dispatched to Marina di Campo. In addition, we had already arranged a second technical intervention at Marciana Marina in case the battery had been damaged by the discharge.

Conclusion
That said, we believe it is important to emphasise our concrete commitment to resolving the problem promptly, without any charge to the client for either the telephone support or the deployment of the technical staff involved. We remain available for dialogue, as always, with transparency and a collaborative spirit.

A week in the Aeolian Islands on the Lagoon 42  
Seven days in the Aeolian Islands on the Lagoon 42, and it went very well even with the weather, good wind almost every day, no days lost. The boat is appreciated for its space and stability at anchor, but it is not designed to sleep ten. The saloon sofas are comfortable to sit on but uncomfortable as beds. I recommend it without doubt, just avoid loading too many people on board.

Aeolian Islands July 2025  
It was a beautiful holiday, I don't deny it, but unfortunately there was a fault with the generator and one with the watermaker right from the first night. the impossibility of producing fresh water forced us to severely limit consumption on board and to modify the cruise program to return repeatedly to Lipari in order to refuel with water, although this stop was not planned twice in the original itinerary. To the discomfort resulting from the lack of air conditioning was added the much more significant one, linked to the loss of time actually available for sailing and for the holiday itself. Due to the problem with the generator we in fact remained stopped for the first time in Lipari for about half a day, from the morning until past lunchtime, and subsequently we were forced to return to port again where we lost another day. I would like to underline that the crew demonstrated great professionalism, availability and collaborative spirit and that we do not in any way attribute the responsibility for the situation to them. On the contrary, we believe they did everything in their power to limit the impact of the problem. However, the fact remains that the service actually enjoyed is significantly different from what was proposed and purchased.
