Good boat  
The boat performed well; we already knew the weak points before setting off, the tender above all. It should be said, however, that a larger tender would have been complicated to manage — even this one, when placed on deck, partly obstructed visibility; a larger one would have required an aft crane or permanent towing. Another limitation is the absence of a generator or solar panels; onboard power is needed, the boat is comfortable, but battery autonomy does not exceed one or at most two days, after which you are forced to run the engine, which is excellent by the way. Another point to manage is fresh water autonomy: the two tanks with 8 people last one day, two if you economise. For everything else the boat performed very well; equipment, lines, sails, etc. were all up to the standard of a cruising boat. Unfortunately we had little wind but still managed to reach 8.6 knots, in complete safety. Price-quality ratio absolutely favourable, serious and extremely helpful charter companies, recommended.

All good... except the TENDER  
The boat is large and comfortable. The skipper was superb — skilled, kind, and always helpful... No complaints on any of the above. We had a serious problem with the "tender." More than a tender, it felt like a dinghy with an outboard (no rigid hull). Small and, above all, dangerous. We nearly capsized several times!! We used it very little — there were seven of us, and the tender barely fit two people. We couldn't really enjoy most of our stops. On Procida the first evening, another boat actually had to rescue three of our friends and tow them in (and we never got to see Procida). At Ventotene we reached the island completely soaked, and on the way back we had to cut short our aperitif and hurry back to the boat because we noticed the wind picking up and feared we wouldn't make it back. It was traumatic — we nearly capsized again and again and really thought we might end up stranded on Ventotene. At Ponza we were lucky there was a water taxi. We used only that. During daytime stops we mostly swam... we love swimming, but a working tender would have been handy now and then. I'm attaching photos so you can see the difference between our tender and those on other boats (which, by the way, were even smaller than ours). People honestly laughed when they saw us coming. Overall, we firmly believe the tender was a major handicap — quite a serious one that could have ruined the vacation (and partly did)... the tender isn't a "luxury" but a real necessity. We're especially disappointed that the owner didn't understand how much trouble it caused and that there were no consequences. My advice is therefore always to ask for the technical specs of the tender supplied with the boat, just to avoid unpleasant surprises (Marenauta gave me this advice, but alas it was too late). I hope my review helps the owner fully understand the real distress it caused and take action to prevent problems for future clients. Thank you for your attention.

Good morning,
the tender is new, purchased in July, with a 2.3 hp Honda outboard already in use, a longer length would not guarantee adequate propulsion; for 3 people it is more than suitable.
For the clients this was their first sailing experience, in the middle of August, so the discomfort was amplified; for this reason we considered it appropriate to partially refund the extra cost of the tender.

Overall I'd say excellent  
Starting with the boat: it was a brand-new Bavaria 46 with only two years on the water. Found in perfect condition and well equipped, and pleasant to sail — very balanced, without exceptional performance but overall it moved even in light wind (at least 7/8 knots). The owner was a fantastic, very kind person who welcomed us wonderfully. The sailing area (Ischia and Capri) was overall very beautiful, though not my favorite spots. Capri seems like a shopping center for the rich, and outside the center you only see decay. Very expensive (but we expected that) without offering services that justify the cost. I expected a spectacular marina; instead, if it weren't for the yachts, it feels like a third-class marina. Too bad we couldn't visit the Blue Grotto because of high tide.
